The Committee Stage Debate of the Budget, also known as the debate on the third reading of the Appropriation Bill, concludes today (March 21) with the vote scheduled to be held at 5.00pm.
Today’s debate will focus on the Expenditure Head of the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Affairs.
President Anura Kumara Disanayake presented the 2025 Budget to Parliament on Feb. 10 and the second reading was passed on Feb. 25 with a majority of 109 votes.
