Transport Minister Bandula Gunawardena today (04) said that bus fares on the Southern Expressway will be reduced by 10%.
Speaking during a media briefing at the Department of Government Information, the minister also added that the Katharagama – Colombo semi-luxury bus service operating on the Galle Road, will be terminated from midnight today.
Following the termination of this service, the Rs. 1,541 bus fare from Kataragama to Colombo will be reduced to Rs. 1,117/- while luxury and normal bus services will continue.
