A Cabinet sub-committee has been appointed to promote reconciliation among different communities and to come up with solutions to the issues faced by the people with regard to resettlement, land and missing persons in the aftermath of the conflicts in the North-East.
Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda, Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe and Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabry have been appointed to this sub-committee chaired by the President.
