A proposal presented by the President as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policy to take further steps regarding the restructuring of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) has been approved by the Cabinet.
On September 5, 2022, the Cabinet approved the establishment of the State Owned Enterprise Restructuring Unit under the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policy to guide and support these measures.
Accordingly, the Government Information Department said that the SOE Restructuring Policy has been prepared with the aim of improving the quality, price and accessibility of goods and services provided by public enterprises, removing the financial impact of those enterprises on the Treasury and creating a competitive and market-based business environment to attract private investments.
