Former President Maithripala Sirisena has accused the Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith of wanting him ‘jailed or executed’ over the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks, despite investigations being still underway.
Speaking at a news conference in Colombo yesterday (25), Mr. Sirisena has pointed out that the perpetrators are enjoying comforts in jail while he is being hounded.
He also urged to hand over the investigation report to the Parliament before it is handed over to the Catholic church.
