The CESS tax imposed on imported cement has been increased, the Investment Promotion Ministry said.
Accordingly, the CESS tax for cement imported in packages of 50 kg and less has been increased from 5 rupees to 8 rupees while the tax for cement imported in bulk or above 50 kg packages has been increased from 3 rupees to 5 rupees.
