The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has launched an investigation into the people who made the brass blocks, which Thilini Priyamali used as gold bars to deceive businessmen.
Investigations revealed that Priyamali has shown these fake gold bars to many businessmen and deceived them by assuring money after selling them.
Priyamali had given 10 such brass blocks to her partner Isuru Bandara saying they were gold bars. Eight out of these 10 brass blocks were found at Isuru’s house in Pilimathalawa.
Investigations revealed that Priyamali had given these brass blocks to many businessmen but no complaints have been received from any of them so far.
