The Committee on High Posts, which met in Parliament yesterday (Feb. 27), has recommended the appointment of a new Ambassador and High Commissioner.
Accordingly, the Committee on High Posts has recommended the name of Ms. Y.K. Gunasekara as the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Australia.
Furthermore, the Committee on High Posts has recommended the name of Mrs. S.S. Dissanayake as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Committee on High Posts, which met under the patronage of the Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, was attended by Members of the Committee Ministers Bimal Ratnayake, (Dr.) Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, Kumara Jayakody, Deputy Minister (Dr.) Hansaka Wijemuni, and Member of Parliament (Dr.) Nihal Abeysinghe.
