The Court of Appeal has ordered the Criminal Investigations Department and other respondents not to move criminal Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne alias ‘Harak Kata’ from the location where is detained, without informing the judiciary and the Attorney General.
The directives were issued by Appeal Court President Nissanka Bandula Karunaratne and Justice Chamath Morayas after considering a petition filed by the arrested suspect.
Accordingly, ‘Harak Kata’ is not to be transferred to another location without prior notice, until the petition hearing concludes.
The petition has been fixed for hearing on September 25.
