The Matara Magistrate’s Court has issued an order for the arrest of 08 persons including former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon over the Weligama shooting incident in 2023, police said today (Feb. 28)
The shooting took place near the W15 Hotel in Weligama, where a police officer was killed during an intervention.
