Colombo Additional Magistrate Pasan Amarasinghe yesterday (02) issued notices to three respondents including Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera to appear in the court on October 19 to state the facts over a dispute regarding the ownership of an apartment in Bambalapitiya.
Considering a personal complaint, the Magistrate issued the notice to the respondents, Gnanasara Thera, Dayaseela Thera and Sylvester, the committee chairman of the apartment building.
Attorney-at-law Sandya Talduwa filed this personal complaint in the Court and the Magistrate issued this order after considering the facts presented by her.
Inoka Chandima Senanayake, a resident of 36/5/1, Shrubbery Gardens, Bambalapitiya, had filed this petition.
The petition said that the respondents have prevented her from entering into this property which was legally assigned to her by her aunt residing in the US.
Meanwhile, Gnanasara Thera has told the Court that the owners of the property had told him to sell it and use the amount received to build a Stupa.
