President Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that he hopes the ongoing Extended Fund Facility (EFF) with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be the last such program Sri Lanka undertakes.
He made these remarks while delivering the keynote address at the international conference ‘Sri Lanka’s Road to Recovery: Debt and Governance’ in Colombo today (June 16).
The President also said Sri Lanka aspires to build a stable economy with sufficient growth to service the country’s debt independently by 2028.
