A custodian (Kapu Mahattaya) of the Ruhunu Kataragama Devalaya, who is a suspect in an ongoing case, has surrendered to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD), police say.
The Attorney General has instructed to arrest the chief custodian of the Ruhunu Kataragama Devalaya and the custodian in charge of the Devala store room, over a 38-pound gold offering that had gone missing.
The offering had been made by the wife of former underworld leader Angoda Lokka.
