Sri Lanka Customs has issued a public warning about an organized scam operation fraudulently using the name and title of the Director General of Customs. Scammers are sending WhatsApp messages under the name “DGC Mr. Nonis,” requesting money for various reasons and providing bank account details.
The Customs Department has urged the public to remain vigilant and not fall victim to these fraudulent activities.
Anyone receiving such messages is advised to report them immediately to the nearest police station.
