Debt restructuring programme before Cabinet on Wednesday (Video)
A special Cabinet meeting is to be held on Wednesday to discuss the domestic debt restructuring process.
During an interview with France 24, President Ranil Wickremesinghe has said that the debt restructuring programme will be presented to the Cabinet on Wednesday before being tabled before the Parliament’s Committee of Public Finance on Friday. The matter is to be debated in Parliament on Saturday and Sunday and approved, he added.
Thereafter, we can start the rest of our negotiations with our creditors, he further said.
