Mr. Rajapaksa, who was in the US, arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday (20) at 8.30 am via Dubai on flight 650 of the Emirates Airline.

Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, State Ministers Piyal Nishantha, Prasanna Ranaweera, Sanath Nishantha, Shantha Bandara, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MPs Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Johnston Fernando, Gamini Lokage, S. However, no other members of the Rajapaksa family were present to welcome him.

Speaking to media outside the airport, State Minister Sanath Nishantha said that Mr.Rajapaksa had returned to promote the party as well as to implement its future activities.
