The Presidential Secretariat has opted to cease the maintenance of the website – itukama.lk.
Itukama Project was the fund raising initiative for the COVID-19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund. Its operations were wound up and the respective Bank account closed down effective from Oct. 28, 2022.
Presently, only a record of advertisements and funds related to it is available on the site.
In a statement, the Presidential Secretariat had earlier announced the decision, warning that there is a risk of its name being exploited by unauthorized parties, due to the dormant status of the website.
The Presidential Secretariat has urged the public to take caution and remain vigilant against potential misuse.
