The Matara Magistrate’s Court today (March 20) ordered to remand suspended IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon April 03.Tennakoon was initially remanded until today after he surrendered to courts yesterday.
An open warrant for his arrest was previously issued in connection with a 2023 shooting incident that took place outside the W15 hotel in Weligama, which resulted in the death of an officer from the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD).
