The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) has decided to close its Narahenpita Head Office on Nov. 13 and Nov. 14 due to the General Elections.
DMT Commissioner General Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasinghe stated that the decision was taken as the office will be used as an election centre on these dates.
Meanwhile, authorities have also stated that vehicle revenue licences will not be issued on Nov. 13 – 14 due to the General Election.
Licences will be issued with no fines once duties commence after the election.
