A doctor attached to the Badulla Hospital who was in possession of 145 drug pills was arrested by the Special Task Force last night (14).
The raid was conducted based on information received that the doctor had been selling drugs to school children and youths at his private medical clinic in Milagasthanna, Badulla.
The suspect’s vehicle and the drugs have been taken into custody by the Badulla Police.
He is scheduled to be produced in the Badulla Magistrate’s Court today (15).
