Police have discovered the remains of a doctor at his house at Thalagaha Hena lane, Galle.
The deceased is a 37 year old named Prabhath Chamara Sampath who was working as a doctor attached to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.
His wife also works at the same hospital as a doctor and had been absent from home at the time of death.
The remains have been taken to the Karapitiya JMO for the post mortem.
Police are conducting further investigations.
