Senior administrative officer – Mr. Douglas Nanayakkara will be recommended to the Constitutional Council to be appointed as the new chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL).
He is tipped to replace Mr. Janaka Ratnayake, who was ousted by a Parliament vote last week.
At the present, Mr. Nanayakkara currently serves as a Director Board member of the PUCSL.
Joining the Public Administrative Service in 1983, Mr. Nanayakkara held several leading positions before his retirement, and was appointed as the PUCSL Director Board member last July.
