The suspended third secretary of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Oman, E.Kushan, said that he had even received death threats because he opposed the smuggling of women brought to Oman through tourist visas.
In a letter sent to Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara, he said a person named “Dubai Sudda” is plotting to get him removed from his position.
He has pointed out in his letter that Dubai Sudda has influenced some women to share misinformation on social media.
Meanwhile, Ranthetige Nissanka alias Dubai Sudda has made a statement that he has also received death threats.
