Billions around the world are celebrating Easter Sunday today (April 20), which is a cornerstone of Christian faith that marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ – three days after his crucifixion on Good Friday.
This year, Easter for Christians, Orthodox and Catholic, is celebrated on the same date.
Meanwhile, tomorrow (21) will mark six years since the tragic Easter Sunday attacks in Sri Lanka on April 21, 2019.
Several programmes are planned across the island to commemorate the bombing victims.
