The Election Commission (EC) has released a statement on the finger marking process for voters at the Parliamentary Election on November 14.
EC Chairman R. M. A. L. Rathnayake has said that the index finger on the left hand will be marked at the 2024 Parliamentary Election since the little finger was marked during the Presidential Election in September and the and the thumb of the voter’s left hand will be rnarked during the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha election on Oct. 26.
Any of the voters who do not have an index finger on their left hand will be marked on the thumb or any other finger on the right hand.
