The Election Commission has urged the media, including social media users to refrain from publishing footage/images of candidates voting, before 4.00pm today (Sep. 21).
Noting that the Department of Information has taken measures to cover the moments of the Presidential candidates voting, for publishing and archiving purposes, the statement issued by the EC reminds that it was previously directed to issue such material to media only after 4.00pm today.
The EC further urges media to refrain from publishing content even if they do receive it before this timeframe.
