Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera has stated that the increased electricity tariffs are likely to be reduced to the previous rates during a tariff revision scheduled for January 2024.
Speaking at a media briefing at the PMC today (Dec. 19), the minister also stated that the tariffs will be reduced according to a notification made by the Electricity Board to the Ministry.
