The Ella-Wellawaya road has been blocked near the 12th-kilometer post due to an earthslip caused by adverse weather conditions.
The incident, which occurred yesterday (13) near Karandagolla, has disrupted traffic flow on the main road, prompting police to advise motorists to use alternative routes until the road is cleared.
Alternative Routes:
- Ella to Wellawaya: Travel via Uva Karandagolla, Bandarawela, and Ambadandegama.
- Wellawaya to Ella: Use the route via Wellawaya and Ambadandegama.
