Cabinet Approval was granted at their meeting held on Dec. 20, 2021 in order to take necessary measures for signing the Treaty on Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
Accordingly, the Cabinet of Ministers granted approval to the proposal submitted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Sri Lanka to sign the Treaty on Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons at the ceremony to be held in relation to the said treaty parallel to the General Assembly of the United Nations.
