The entrance fees for botanical gardens will be increased with effect from July 01, the government said.
Tourism and Lands Minister Harin Fernando announced this in an extraordinary gazette.
Accordingly, the entrance fee for a local adult which is Rs.100 would be increased to Rs.200 while the fee for a child has been increased from Rs.20 to Rs.30.
Meanwhile, the new entrance fee for a foreign adult is Rs 3,000 while the fee is Rs.1,500 for a foreign child.
