The Meteorology Department says atmospheric conditions are favorable for development of evening thundershowers in the island during the next few days.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at most places in the island during the evening or night.
A few Showers may occur in Kalutara, Galle, Matara and Rathnapura districts during the morning too while heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Northern and North-central provinces, it said.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
