Former Puttalam District MP Shantha Abeysekara and his son have been arrested by the Police Illegal Assets Investigations Division.
They were arrested after they had gone to give a statement regarding an illegally assembled vehicle.
According to reports, they are to be produced before the Mahara Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (Feb. 19).On Feb. 06, officers of the Illegal Assets Investigations Division had found an illegally assembled luxury vehicle allegedly used by Abeysekara, was found disassembled and concealed.
