Several faulty observation saloons of trains have been removed, Sri Lanka Railways say.
Noting that the most number of train derailments take place in the upcountry line, SLR points out that it is the observation saloons that had derailed on the line, 80% of the time.
According to Railway General Manager H.M.K.W. Bandara, 02 out of the 04 observation compartments have been removed in this manner.
