Transportation of ballot boxes and officials to 13,421 polling centers across Sri Lanka began this morning.
Election Commissioner General Saman Sri Ratnayake confirmed that 1,234 issuing centers have been set up, with over 150,000 government officials deployed for election duties.
Around 1,000 additional officers, including chief counting officials, have been sent to remote provinces to ensure smooth operations.
Special security measures and traffic plans are in place, according to Police Media Spokesperson DIG Nihal Talduwa.
Voting will take place tomorrow from 7 am to 4 pm, with 17,140,354 eligible voters choosing from 38 candidates.
