A fire broke out in the district office of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Tangalle early today (22).
According to the Tangalle Police, many office equipment have been damaged in the fire.
As soon as the fire broke out on the second floor of the building, the officers of the Tangalle Police who were nearby had informed the fire brigade.
The Tangalle Police suspects that the cause of the fire may have been faulty electrical wiring.
