A fisherman was killed after a boat had capsized in the Kalpitiya area due to adverse weather conditions today, Police said.
Two other fishermen on the boat had managed to swim to the shore.
The victim was identified as Ajith Chandra Kumara (35) a resident of Kandakuliya.
They had gone out for fishing early today (05) despite authorities warning naval and fishing communities about rough sea conditions and strong winds.
