Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday ordered to remand Chandima Nayanajith, the former opposition leader of the Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte Municipal Council, who was arrested on charges of attacking and setting fire to the private residence of President Ranil Wickremesinghe on July 9.
The suspect was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and produced in court.
The CID informed the court that further investigations will be conducted in this regard.
