MP Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka has tendered his resignation as Chairman of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), according to MP J.C. Alawathuwala.
It was earlier reported that Fonseka was to make a special statement today (Aug. 09).
Meanwhile, according to internal sources of the SJB, Fonseka will also be replaced by Arjuna Ranatunga as SJB organiser of Kelaniya electorate.
