Foreign Secretary Aruni Wijewardane will visit the United States to attend the 05th U.S.-Sri Lanka Partnership Dialogue at the U.S. Department of State on July 12, 2024.
The dialogue will be co-chaired by Wijewardane and Acting Under Secretary for Political Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, John Bass.
Discussions will cover various aspects of U.S.-Sri Lanka bilateral relations, including economic, defense, and security cooperation; democracy, reconciliation, and human rights; climate change, science, and technology cooperation; education and cultural cooperation; and people-to-people contacts.
Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the United States Mahinda Samarasinghe, officials from the Embassy of Sri Lanka, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will also participate in the dialogue.
