A 29-year-old Russian national who was bathing in the seas off the Hikkaduwa Beach drowned yesterday (07).
Although he was rescued by the lifeguards, he was pronounced dead on admission to the Karapitiya Hospital.
The body has been placed at the mortuary of the Karapitiya Hospital and the Hikkaduwa Police are conducting further investigations.
