Former Institute of National Security Studies of Sri Lanka (INSSSL) Director General Asanga Abeygunasekara has been released two surety bails of one million each by the Negombo Magistrate’s Court.
He was also ordered to be present in the Colombo Magistrate’s Court on August 09.
Abeygunasekara was arrested by police at the Katunayake Airport yesterday.

Former INSSSL Director General Asanka Abeygunasekara arrested
The former Director General of the Institute of National Security Studies of Sri Lanka (INSSSL) Asanka Abeygunasekara has been arrested by police.
Abeygunasekara, against whom there was a pending open warrant over a case filed by the Inland Revenue Department (IRD), was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake this morning (21), police said.
