Four police officers who did not report back to work after attending an international summit in the UK have been considered as having abandoned their service.
The team left for the UK to participate in the 65th International Police Conference held last month.
They were supposed to report back to work on June 4 and it was revealed by the Immigration and Emigration Department that the four police officers had not returned after travelling abroad on May 25.
The four police personnel are two Sergeants and two Constables attached to the Police Sports Division.
Accordingly, the Assistant Superintendent of Police of the Police Sports Division has issued notice to the four police officers that they would be considered as having abandoned the service with effect from June 4.
