The funeral of veteran advertising professional – Harith Gunawardena will be held at the Arawwala public cemetery at 5.00pm tomorrow (Dec. 30).
Mr. Gunawardena suddenly passed away yesterday morning (28), aged 55.
His remains are currently being laid at No. 181 B 6/1, Suhada Mawatha, Arawwala Road, Pannipitiya.
An old student of the Ananda College, he was a graduate of the University of Colombo.
Joining the ‘Divaina’ newspaper in 1990, he rose to fame through the column ‘King Barnet.’
He was also the script writer of the popular political TV series ‘Always Breakdown’.
Later, he also worked as the chairman of state-owned Selacine Television Institute.
