Govt. still makes losses from diesel & kerosene: State Minister

The government is still incurring losses from diesel and kerosene sales, State Minister of Power and Energy D.V. Chanaka said in Parliament today (9).

Accordingly, he said the government incurs a loss of Rs.12 per litre of diesel and Rs.22 per litre of kerosene.

The state minister said fuel will be provided to the consumers without any increase in the price though prices of fuel including crude oil prices have increased in the world market.

He further said that if there was any profit, it would be given to the people.
