A Grade 8 student from the Lyceum International School, Wattala was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital on Wednesday (Jan 15) after reportedly falling from the fifth floor of a school building.
Sources revealed that the female student, a resident of Wattala, avoided critical injuries as she landed on a fiber roof attached to a lower floor, which cushioned her fall.
The Wattala Police, who are conducting an investigation into the incident, stated that the student showed no visible injuries following the fall.
Preliminary reports suggest that the student may have jumped from the fifth floor. However, police investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
