Six teachers, including a school principal, were arrested in Anuradhapura for allegedly sharing the Grade 5 scholarship examination’s first question paper via mobile phone.
The incident occurred ten minutes before the exam began.
The assistant supervisor and the teachers were detained, and their phones confiscated.
Investigations revealed the paper was circulated to various locations, including Anuradhapura, Nochchiyagama, and Colombo.
Ceylon Teachers’ Association president Priyantha Fernando condemned the act, urging strict legal action against those responsible.
