Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe has issued an extraordinary gazette giving Justice of the Peace (JP) powers to Grama Niladharis.
The gazette said every administrative Grama Niladhari of every Divisional Secretariat Division who is in permanent and active service shall be an ex-officio Justice of the Peace.
