Cabinet approval has been granted last night (29) to sign 2 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Maldives.
A MoU on cooperation and mutual assistance in Customs affairs as well as another on the Health sector is to be signed in this manner.
The MoU on Customs affairs aims to strengthen, promote and improve cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters as well as to strengthen mutual understanding and communication between the two parties.
Meanwhile, the MoU on cooperation in the field of health with the aim of strengthening cooperation in the field of health between the two countries by improving health services, promoting research and development activities and improving the overall well-being of the people of both countries.
The Attorney General’s clearance has been received for the MoUs drafted.
