Harak Kata tries to escape to India!

The police constable of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) who assisted Nadun Chinthaka aka ‘Harak Kata’ to escape from CID custody has been given Rs.10 million, it was revealed.

It has been revealed that the missing police constable and his brother-in-law have planned to take Nadun Chinthaka from the CID custody and then take him to India through an illegal route.

This was revealed during the questioning of the constable’s brother-in-law who was arrested by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID).

The court allowed the suspect Amila Sanjeewa, a resident of Serunuwara, Trincomalee, to be detained and interrogated at the TID.

The TID informed the court that the missing police constable and this suspect had made a plan to help Harak Kata escape from the CID custody. This has been confirmed by phone analysis reports.

Furthermore, police investigations revealed that Harak Kata has given Rs.2 million to the arrested suspect.

The TID told the court that the police constable of the CID who helped the criminal’s escape plan is still in hiding and investigations have been launched to arrest him.

According to an order of the Inspector General of Police, the investigation of this incident has been handed over to the TID.

Kanjipani Imran alias Mohammad Najeem Imran, who is said to be the leader of an organized crime gang, escaped to India after being released on bail.

Media reports said that he was assisted by the Indian intelligence services.
