A group of men who arrived in a car had fired shots at the owner of a restaurant in front of his restaurant in Ahangama, the Midigama Police said.
The injured man has been hospitalized and hospital sources said his condition was critical.
The assailants have fired shots at the victim who was on a motorcycle and the police said that the henchmen of Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne alias ‘Harak Kata’ may have carried out the shooting.
